How We Can Help
Assisting Neighbors in Need

Haven Totes provides food to low-income school children and their families, as well as personal care items to low-income seniors living in care facilities.

Totes for Kids

Volunteers from our faith based partners help low income school children and their families by providing food for the weekend throughout the school year. Every week Totes are packed with non-perishable food and delivered to the school for the children to take home on Friday. Through contact with their local school, parents give their children permission to participate in the Totes program. These same children’s parents are now able to attend our Family Food Pantry where they can receive additional food items each month to help feed the entire family. At the beginning of each school year, Totes Kids may participate in our Haven Fair, where they receive not only food, but new back packs and school supplies!

Family Food Pantry

Families who have children participating in Haven Totes for Kids, are invited to shop in our Family Food Pantry where they can receive free food items such as frozen meats, fresh produce, dairy products, bakery items along with canned and boxed food. Haven Totes feels it’s important for the whole family to receive nutritious food items during the month. Our Family Food Pantry days and hours are the first through the fourth Wednesday each month from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM and the second and fourth Saturday from 9:00 AM to 12:00PM.

Totes for Seniors

Haven Totes for Seniors gathers needed supplies for senior citizens and adults with disabilities. Haven Totes Seniors conducts an in-depth analysis of what the adult needs, depending on their specific situation. These items could include books, art supplies or personal care items. The volunteers will deliver the supplies to these seniors in need. Most importantly, the volunteer spends some time with each senior to provide them interaction required for a healthy lifestyle, including reading books with them, completing an art project or playing board games. Haven Totes for Seniors strives to provide opportunities for needy senior citizens and adults with disabilities to lead a healthy lifestyle.
