How We Can Help
Assisting Families in Need

Haven Totes provides food to low-income school children and their families. Additionally, personal care items are provided to low-income seniors living in care facilities.

Totes for Kids

Volunteers from our faith based partners provide weekend food to children from low income families throughout the school year. Every week, Totes are packed with non-perishable food and delivered to schools for the children to take home on Friday. Through contact with their local school, parents give their children permission to participate in the Totes program. These same children’s parents are now able to attend our Family Food Pantry. When visiting the pantry they can receive additional food items each month to help feed the entire family. At the beginning of each school year, Totes Kids may participate in our Haven Fair. At the Fair, they can expect to receive food, new back packs, new shoes and school supplies!

Family Food Pantry

Haven Totes feels it’s important for the whole family to receive nutritious food items during the month. Families who have children participating in Haven Totes for Kids, are invited to shop in our Family Food Pantry. While at the pantry, families will receive free food items. Available food items include frozen meats, fresh produce, dairy products, bakery items and canned and boxed food. Our Family Food Pantry days and hours are the first through the fourth Wednesday each month from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM. On the second and fourth Saturday, hours run from 9:00 AM to 12:00PM. Families may shop at our pantry once per month.

Totes for Seniors

Haven Totes gathers needed supplies for seniors and adults with disabilities. Following an in-depth analysis of what the adult needs, items will be selected for them. These items could include books, art supplies and/or personal care items. Volunteers will then deliver the supplies to these seniors in need. Most importantly, our volunteer spends some time with each senior. This time includes reading books, completing art projects or playing board games. We strive to provide opportunities for seniors thereby allowing them to lead a healthy lifestyle.
